Portfolio - Articles
Since 2014, I have been lucky enough to have worked with some fantastic people at varying different sites and magazines. Here is a selection of some of my favourite pieces I've written across the years.
Rewriting The Mind - Be A Light
At some point in our lives, many of us will be struck by something or afflicted by a feeling so devastating that it changes everything. We face the thought of our future and every dream we have envisioned for it and suddenly it is as if we have no control. We are blinded by the light of the unknown, seeing only a distorted, anxiety-ridden glimpse into what could be or rather what will never be.
Self Evolution - Thought Catalog
The only difference between change and evolution is our awareness of the significance of our own conscious attention.
I’m not talking about the scientific Darwinian usage where we change by natural selection, I’m talking about something more specific to us, to our marriage between choice and chance.
How To Let Go - Thought Catalog
Most of us aren’t very good at saying goodbye. Although, having said that, most of us rarely have the opportunity, when it comes to fading friendships, failed relationships or distanced relatives, to actually close the door and say goodbye.

In the literal sense of going up to someone and telling them you’re leaving, or you can’t hurt to have them in your life anymore, I can’t really help. I’m bad at it. I form attachments quickly and easily and, more than often, the goodbye is not my choice.
Animals Lost in 2018 - Unwritten
Extinction is not just exclusive to the old days of dinosaur history. We are still seeing consistent numbers of beautiful animal species disappearing off of the face of the earth for the rest of our lives. Climate change, poaching, and human selfishness could be the cause of this. It has to be said we are still not looking after our animals the way we should be, or at least not enough of us

Zina Dawood is an architect, interior designer, dreamer and perfectionist. She earned her Architecture Master’s degree from Lund University and is a licensed architect in Sweden. Zina’s fascination around volumes, spaces, colours and the relationship between the human sentiment and their surroundings is matched with a deep love for architecture and design. Her approach is a harmonious composition of artistic concept design and user-friendly practicality. She believes successful designs must involve human senses, provoke emotions, leave positive impressions, encourage interactions and create unforgettable memories. As a result of this, we at Studio 11 share the belief that a building is more than a structure, it is a social landmark.
Healing From Past Hurt - The Mighty
But not everything is pain and when shared, the experience can end positively. I started telling people, and started looking out for positive videos and articles and tried to understand my condition and my life. I gave myself more of a chance, I listened to friends, and though my trust issues and my loneliness and fear of my own agency at nights is still present, I am healing. I am healing enough to tell my story and hope that, in some way, someone may have the belief to heal themselves after hearing this.
